We can probably count on one hand the number of times we've eaten a delicious bagel with cream cheese on it since we've been here.
It's not that you can't get them here, you can, but they are a bit more expensive and they are only at specialty shops. So, with that said, I recently was inspired by my teammate (Rhianna) to try my own two hands at making homemade bagels. I was quite pleased with the way they turned out. I made mostly onion and salt and a few cinnamon and sugar. The kids really enjoyed them but Paul enjoyed them most of all!
Last night for supper we had a delicious meal of bagels with egg and cheese...yum-yum...can't beat it!!!

They look good!!!!momc
Good on ya, Crystal! I have never been brave enough to attempt making them myself. Did you put them in water or something? In Australia - the version of bagels was a bread roll with a hole in it... we did have a restaurant called Bagel Den - but it didn't last long... too bad - they were really good! Glad that you could bring a little bit of a deli to your home!
WOW!!! I am impressed! What recipe did you use?

Kiki and I dream of starting a breakfast place someday...maybe we can do it in Bangkok and you can provide the bagels.
They look awesome. Now in all your spare time you will need to post the recipe and the directions! I can almost taste them now.
Ok, Crystal we need the recipe, the bagels look so good.
