Easter Dinner

On the spur of the moment, our team whipped togehter an Easter feast to die for! Tim and Rhianna graciously opened their home, once again, for a get together and provided an actual ham. The team had an extra turkey left over from Thanksgiving that the Cunninghams were going to make for their neighbors but Kim was put on bedrest and the turkey has been sitting in the freezer ever since. So, Jan Veldhorst cooked it up at her house. The rest of us brought sides and desserts. It was so delicious. I know it's only food and it means nothing but it was so nice to be with our team here and celebrate as family. It was nice to have an Easter egg hunt and even have one of Emmy's Thai friends join in on the fun! We even had Chai, Pawn, their baby Joshua and Chai's parents join us. It was such a blessing to all be together. Kim was even able to come (her first outing since November other than doctor visits!). God is good and yesterday we celebrated His goodness to us as a team. May He continue to bless us with good fellowship and good relationships.

PJ hunting for eggs (notice all the eggs he walked right past in the trees!)

We missed being there and the widget is pretty cool, huh? They have these baby tickers you can get too but I couldn't figure out how to put it on my page...so I got the widget instead. =)

Wow, you have been a busy girl! Busy blogging . . . Ok, busy celebrating too. I am so proud of you for finding ways to take our Easter holiday and share the Gospel with your Thai friends. I feel like I really blew it this year because I didn't do well at sharing the wonder of the story again with my kids, much less neighbors who might never have heard it. Thanks for reminding me of my mission field right here at home.

I'm praying for you guys. Love you! Blessed Easter.

Hey Lisa!
Yes, busy is the key word but not too busy to really worship and rejoice that the Lord LIveS! Don't be too hard on yourself...I am sure the things you said and did with your family spoke to them more than you can imagine. Remember, they're always watching (ok, that might be a little scary but it's true...the good, the bad and the ugly!). And, really Easter is the Sunday of Sundays but we get to rejoice EVERY Sunday and EVERY DAY that Jesus is ALIVE and He lives with us! I think it's more important to live that daily than just once a year...so don't be too hard on yourself...kay?
Love you too...
