Yesterday the langauge center took an afternoon fieldtrip to King Narai's palace grounds right here in Lopburi. My teacher, Khruu Ann, led the field trip and Paul and Grammie joined in. Here Paul and Grammie are pictured with some elephant topiary. On February 16th a huge celebration will begin here in Lopburi that will honor this king (he reigned a long time ago but you would have to ask Paul or his mom when because I don't know right off the top of my head!) His palace and grounds are basically ruins now but the wall behing them is part of those ruins.
